Say hello to my "Lill
Friend".
When not working in the shop, I spend my time playing with this. I
started
riding/racing
as a youth. Since I was
a young boy, I dreamed about having a "factory" bike. As a teenager I
had
the rare opportunity to ride
an OW26, (for anyone that
might remember what that was) and I have been hooked ever since.
This one is starting to
get as close as a privateer can get.
I am as passionate about
this, as I am about the gun stocks, and shooting. Lots of custom
machined
goodies
both inside, and out. Just
as with the air guns, it's all about performance, function, and
ergonomics.
But, that's a whole 'nother story....
I have a small practice
track scratched out on the property, and just love finishing a day of
work
in the shop,
gearing up and doing some
laps to blow off some steam and clear my head.
It has been quite
interesting
to see how people respond. Living out on a country road, it is always
fun
when people slow down,
or stop, to watch while I am at it. Or to be in a store in town, and
have
someone tap me on
on the shoulder, and
inquire
if I am the one that has the track out on Flatwoods. Being in a small
town,
both the
stocks and the bike, have
made us kind of local celebrities. It certainly puts a smile on our
faces!
