Trident MGP (mid-grip pistol) Action

Based on the original Trident MKII action - The Trident MGP is being built as a mid-grip pistol action. The action itself
features a two stage adjustable trigger without the troublesome linkage normally associated with forward mounted trigger blocks.

This action has a regulator built into the valve body, and initial testing shows it to be shooting @747 - 751fps with JSB jumbos in .22.

The little gun is starting to come together pretty quickly now. The one piece Walnut stock was cut and contoured, and
then I over-dyed the black portions to bring out some obvious contrast. The action will probably be bead blasted and then anodized
black which will result in a flat to satin black finish on the metal bits. Still have to add a cheek piece to the stock portion
at the rear, as I just don't care for how the metal feels against my face.

I've been shooting the gun quite a bit while working on the wood, and it has shown to be quite accurate. I don't know
yet how accurate, as there is only so much I can do with a non-magnified Red Dot, but while plinking at the 35 yards range, I haven't had any
strange misses that would indicate something a mis. After the finish on the wood comes up, I will slap a scope on the
gun and do some further testing.

Putting things into perspective-

Here's the Trident MGP with a 4X scope mounted below an IZH46m pistol. A quick trip to the kitchen food scale shows the pistol
portion with scope mounted to weigh in at 5.1lbs.

Opposite side of the Trident MGP with accessories mounted. You can see I added just enough wood to the but stock to make
contact with my face when shouldered. I much prefer the way the wood feels against my face, rather than the cold aluminum tube.
The cheek piece also gets my head right behind the scope in a comfy, repeatable position.

A little informal testing-

Once I had the 4X scope mounted and sighted in, I turned my attention to this piece of pressure treated lumber
@ 30 yards from the shop door. Shooting off hand from a full fill of 3000psi I took @ 20 shots using the first shots hole as an aim point.
I didn't have any shots that made me scratch my head, or feel like there might be an accuracy issue of any kind. The pellet of choice here was
the JSB jumbo in .22. I also tried Crosman Premiers from the box, as well as some CP Hollow points from the tin. All of them
produced results I liked. I do want to remove the barrel and smooth the transfer between breech and barrel inlet as there is
the slightest "catch" as the pellet makes the transfer from the breech into the barrel. A little polishing, and I am certain it will smooth out.
